Mrs. Monica Gregg is our kindergarten and 1st grade teacher.  She was born in Galion, Ohio and graduated from Galion High School.  She has a bachelor of science in elementary education degree.  She went to college at Ohio State University.  Monica is married to her husband Jeff and they have 5 children - Brittany - 21, Dustin - 18, Kennedy - 12, Jullianne - 8, and Samuel - 1 1/2.  Some of Monica hobbies are singing and reading.  She enjoys eating cheesecake.  Her favortie thing about teaching is seeing the students light up when they realize they can actually read something.  She teaches at SJS because she feels like God lead her here.  Her hope is to be the best teacher she can be and to grow in her faith as she forms the children. 



Mrs. Connie Stanek is our 2nd and 3rd grade teacher.  She graduated from Attica High School.  She also graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College where she participated in intercollegiate volleyball and basketball.  She is married to her husband Steve and they have 3 children.  She began her teaching career at Galion Public Schools where she taught for 6 years.  She began teaching at SJS in 1994.  She enjoys the small classes and the God centered environment.  She wants the children to succeed in school and she looks forward to teaching children in a safe enivorment of Christ centered learning.  

Mrs. Mary K Thompson is our 4th and 5th grade teacher.  She was born in Akron, Ohio.  She graduated high school from Our Lady of the Elms.  She earned her bachelor of science in secondary education from the University of Akron.  She was a history major and a sociology minor.  She is married to her husband Rob and they have three children - Brian, Michael, and Casey.  In her freetime she likes to golf and play tennis.  She also loves hot sunny days.  One of her favorite things about teaching is getting to know the students.  She loves teaching the students about ancient civilizations.  Her favorite is ancient China.  She also enjoys spending the week with the students at the Mohican Outdoor School.  Her hopes for the students at SJS is that they will be happy, successful, and faith filled.

Mr. Dan Salvati is our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teacher.  He was born in Crestline, Ohio and graduated from Crestline High School.  He has a bachelor degree in education from the Ohio State University.  Dan is married to his wife Jo of 18 years.  They have three children - Anna - 14, Antonio - 12, and Isabella - 5.  During his freetime he enjoys golfing, hunting/shooting sports, being with his family, fishing, listening to music, and playing the guitar.  His favorite food is anything Italian.  His favorite thing about teaching is seeing the students expressions when they actually learn something new.  He likes teaching at SJS because of the small school setting.  He also likes being able to mention God/prayer.  His hopes for the students is that he will reach the kids and that someday they'll look back and say, "I guess Mr. Salvati was right!"



Mrs. Susan Maloy is our 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Religon and Language Arts teacher.  She also teaches the 2-8th grade physical education.  Susan was born in Wabash, Indiana.  She graduated high school from Bucyrus High School and graduated college from Urbana University, in Urbana, Ohio.  She currently holds a bachelors degree in business education.  She is presently in an on-line graduate program through a Catholic Marymount University in Arlington, VA. She is working towards a Masters Degree in Education.  Susan has 9 years in teaching experiences.  She is married to her husband, Bob and they have 5 children - and 8 beautiful gradchildren.  During her free time she enjoys reading, gardening, and vacationing with her family.  She loves the beach and pasta.  Her favorite thing at SJS are the students and also when their parents tell her that they are doing well in English once they are in high school.  She loves to teach in the Catholic school atmosphere.  Her hope is that SJS will be educating children for many years to come!
